I'm so excited that I finally get to post these images. I'm so in love with them, I think it's one of my favourite photoshoots I've worked on.
This shoot was all based around Ailsa Munro's look book for her new dresses. You've most probably heard of Ailsa as she's become very well known in the wedding industry and has been in a lot of wedding blogs and magazines.
So obviously when Ailsa asked me if I would create the hair and makeup for her lookbook I jumped at the chance. I mean who wouldn't, have you seen her beautiful dresses?! I'd worked with her a few times before this so we kind of new each others' style all ready. Which I think fits perfectly together, obviously aha.
Ailsa hand picked all her wedding vendors and I think she picked them very well. Sounds like I'm blowing my own trumpet but you know what I mean ha. All of them created beautiful work. Check out some of the images below and see for yourself. Scroll to the bottom to read about each look I created.
As you can see, Ailsa had so many beautiful but different dresses. I wanted to give the model a slightly different hair and makeup look for each.
To start with I created a very messy chignon with two fishtail plaits joining at the back. Before I had finished pinning all the hair into place, Ailsa liked the way it looked a little fallen and out of place. I added Clare Kilgour's beautiful flower piece she had made to the back. The first makeup look was very natural with a nudey pink eye and a natural pink lip.
In the second hair look I kept it the same but pinned the loose hair into place and took out the flowers to show off the fishtail plaits. I also kept the makeup very similar but used a more nude colour lipstick.
With the third look I took all the hair down and because I had already curled it I didn't really need to do much to it. I then added Clare Kilgour's beautiful ivy hair crown. Again I changed the lips to a pinky colour.
For the fourth look I kept everything exactly the same apart from taking off the ivy hair crown.
The final look I kept the hair the same and added a different head crown made by Clare Kilgour. I want this lips to stand out on this one, Jemima has amazing full lips so I couldn't not. I went for a deep raspberry pink lipstick colour, which I think turned out amazing.
